Overview of the Controlled Assessment

The Controlled Assessment (CA) is an investigation based on Geographical theory in which primary data is collected and contributes significantly to answering a research question.

The written report is a substantial document and should be approached in sections (outlined below). As this is "Controlled Assessment", the sections will be completed at specified times in the term. Some preparation and production of notes/materials is permitted outside of the CA times scheduled, but most of the write-up will be carried out in class.

Sections of the report:

Title
Introduction (Including theoretical background)
Methodology
Data Presentation and Interpretation
Conclusions
Evaluation

Each of the above sections essentially forms a single chapter in your report. The other postings on this blog, outline what is required in each chapter.
